Hi, I'm Suellen Hanson and I'm here to help you simplify the world of MLM or network marketing.

I'm a single mum, from Australia, with two teenage boys and I wanted my own business, ideally, working from home with flexible hours so I could take the boys to all their after school activities.

You see I have a budding Jackie Chan who does TaeKwonDo and a junior David Beckham who loves football so much he goes into a complete funk when the football season is over.

I joined a MLM company about three years ago and did everything my upline told me to do.

- I wrote my list of 100 names of friends, family, acquaintances and people I kind of, maybe knew.

- I attended all the training sessions and meetings.

- I listened to the motivational CD's, at home and in the car - out went my beloved Rod Stewart CD's.

- I used positive affirmations everyday. I had my little pieces of paper stuck on the front of the refrigerator, stuck on the bathroom mirror, stuck on the computer screen - the dog was lucky he didn't have one stuck on him - he moved too quick for me!

- I read the motivational self-help books until they were coming out of my ears. I felt like I was having affairs with Randy Gage, Jim Rohn, Dale Carnegie, Robert Kiyosaki and Paul Zane Pilzer - I took them all to bed with me!

- I visualized my life style - the mansion, exotic sports cars in the garages, traveling 1st class all over the world, better still, a chauffeur to take the boys to martial arts and football while I have a massage - yes, now we're talking!

- I wrote out my 3 month, 6 month, 12 month and 3 year goals. And even signed them, just to make sure my commitment was rock solid.

I even had my speech prepared for the next year's company convention, when I would be introduced as, (drum-roll please) the next *****SUPERSTAR***** of network marketing.

I had done all the preparation I was ready to build my network marketing empire!

Well, just as the Roman Empire fell - so did mine!

The first few months were sensational; I sponsored some friends and family. I held product presentations that everyone said were wonderful (I would like to think it wasn't just the champagne talking).

The bonus cheque was getting a little bit bigger each month. This was easy - why wasn't I doing this years ago!

Then things started to slow down - nobody wanted any more product presentations, people started avoiding me in the street, even crossing the road if they saw me coming!

No-one was returning my calls; I was even given wrong numbers!

What was happening - why don't people want to talk to me anymore?

My products were great; my company had a solid foundation and a fair marketing plan - what was wrong? Was it something I did or didn't do?

I talked to my upline - their reply was - "Keep going - you're doing great"; "It's a numbers game, Suellen, you'll get there"; "Go back to your list and keep ringing".

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING - whenever I looked at the telephone I would break out in a cold sweat - no-one wanted to talk to me - I was a failure.

I couldn't believe what was happening. I did all the things my upline asked me to do.

So -

HOW come the red Mercedes convertible was not sitting in my driveway.

HOW come I wasn't booking the trip to Disneyland - 1st class all the way?

HOW come my bank balance doesn't have six zeros on the end of it?

I knew I was an intelligent, successful woman. I had worked in the retail industry for over 25 years including owning my own businesses. I was good at building relationships with customers and I could sell products to customers. So, why was my MLM business falling apart at the seams.

There had to be a better way of doing this and I don't give up easily.

So, I hit the internet - big time - I can now Google with the best of them.

I have spent countless hours trolling through websites to discover how the heavy hitters of MLM do it.

I downloaded countless e-books and started reading, reading and more reading.
